Compared to how I draw Kudgel, Klubba isn't blinded. I like to think he wears an eyepatch anyways in solidarity with Kudgel (they're brothers in my eyes which is a totally original idea and not a common headcanon between them uhhhhmmm-)
[this one's pretty old ok I didn't know how to draw muscular kremlings back then] Klubba has normal eyes and tattooed stitches while Kudgel has an injured eye and real, roughly-done stitches.

When I first saw the Rock Kroc renders I thought they looked like mummies because of their skin texture.

Also they look pretty cute front-facing for some reason, maybe its their huge eyes and lack of nostrils. I guess their scariness comes from their function in the game itself.

Portrait of "Mr. X" (real name unknown) dated 1859. Mr. X has his plumed bicorne, red sash, medals and eppaulette on. His hooked hand is tucked in his jacket as a sign of restraint, although whether he did or did not have that in actuality is unknown. He has a sword on his side that has the [readable] engraved words "MDCCCILX - VIVAT KROKODILI". His scales are smooth, green and clean, although that's rather a romanticised depiction of him. In reality he would've lots and lots of blemishes on his face (as present in his actual, ghost design). (Can you tell these are far fetched headcanons of mine by the design and alt texts😭) Same picture as previous but now it's darker, ripped and in a cool-toned environment. There's a bright silhouette of the now ghostly Mr. X. He's seems furious, I guess good times had to pass (even if it was more than a century ago). His fall from grace made him drop into obscurity for many decades, to the point that if you ask anyone about him, they'll just shrug or think you made him up. (Have you noticed that I mainly draw DKC*2* fanart? Well guess which one of the DKC trilogy is my favourite-)

Long rext that reads the following: "I interpret the changes as Kritters being kind of forced to be more reliant on their own strength and K. Rool making cuts to feed into his selfish needs (like, as you said, the Blast-O-Matic in DK64). They don't have the privilege of armour anymore due to K. Rools whims. Therefore, they were more vunerable at that moment. Their feasible cheap clothing K. Rool provided hardly protecting them. They had to start giving themselves a better chance of surviving whether they were ordered to or not. No Kremling wants to lose pathetically by some apes. While the muscular arms and bulkier body present in the PAON design can be explained by the nature of DKKoS/DKJC (climbing and swinging for a long while would make someones arms swole (but also sore)) and some of the Mario sports games (Strikers and Super Sluggers), it indirectly acted as training for whatever hostile plan K. Rool has in the future, even if his intentions were just "Let's screw over the Kongs some more." Improvements have been made since DK64 and that opened the door for K. Rool to become more ambitious. They didn't *need* to be shielded by armour anymore, their physique *is* the shield. Their legs are feeble compared to the rest of their body so they wear pants to emphasise their upper girth. On another note, I prefer the DKC1 design also. Although that's more because I have a total soft spot for military-esque designs haha."

This post reminded me of how facinated I am with the evolution of enemy designs in the dk games, especially the Kritters. So much that it inspired me to make this garbled mess of an analysis really late at night.

Two drawings of my oc Evgeny Kurtichev, who has a mustache, sideburns, a powdered wig, a slightly loose cravat and wearing typical 18th century fasioned clothes. One drawing is in a reference window fully coloured and shaded (this ones from 5 January 2024) and the other is flat coloured and shaded (from today, 25th October 2025). Fun Fact! : Evgeny is meant to be the father of another oc who appears in a discord server based fanfic made by my friends. The fanfic’s basically the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars if the historical figures involved were replaced by our sonas. I had an oc/sona that basically served as a combination of different generals of the Russian Empire in the 18-19th century (mostly Alexander Suvorov). Unfortunately the fanfic never got finished due to losing interest but, I still cherish all the ocs created for it!

There are physical depiction of him through paintings yet he’s mostly invisible to most of the Snowmad population. Whether Ansgar truly exists or is just a legend is up for speculation. Often gets mistaken as a penguin by other Snowmads, he’s actually a razorbill which is a type of auk.” PRUDY KONG - “Estranged Victorian-esque ancestor to the main Kongs. Your usual prim-and-proper gentleman, except he's a huge hypocrite to what he expects society to be like nowadays. A real heavy industrialist, which is the main reason many of the Kongs like to distance away from him.”

They believe that King K. Rool and Baron K. Roolenstein are different kremlings.” KUIRASSEER and KLOPPER - “19th Century Kavalrykrocs. Kuirasseers are notable with their stylish helmet, cuirass breastplate and sabre riding well trained kloppers. They charge against their enemies and go in full force with rapid speeds. They can be defeated with a roll/spin attack while they build up their charge.” KARPUS - “A large sized kritter and a Kremean War veteran. Formerly a sargeant before being discharged for his weakened physical conditions. To compensate, he was given a lighter job of being a tollkeeper before eventually getting replaced by Klubba, a much stronger and able kremling than Karpus. He now wanders around Crocodile Isle with no significant purpose in mind. In voice prosthesis treatment after his larynx got severely damaged in the War. Also secretely self-consious about his posture, so he wears a back brace.”
