I love how many people are so surprised that they're going down this route after they collaborated with Elon Musk (a literal Nazi) and turned a dead actor into a chatbot with AI. This isn't surprising. The signs were there, especially the AI Darth Vader thing. Fortnite was already going downhill.
SO... I'm pretty much done with Fortnite. There were statements made by Tim Sweeney saying that AI usage doesn't need to be disclosed, and then AI usage was found all over this current season- from art to sprays to in-game songs. Between that, and the upcoming shitty wizard collab... Yeah, I'm done.

Apparently the Marty McFly piece wasn't done with AI, the artist posted the layers of the piece on Instagram. The dangers of including AI art in your projects means that legitimate artists are under further scrutiny- It poisons the entire well and needs to be stopped.

This may be a hot take, but if a company has little to no prioritization with the safety of their consumers and only care about the engagement with their faulty and dangerous product, then the company should not fucking exist.

I see no reason (for myself) to even think about this game anymore if the Epic Games' CEO is embracing AI and collaborating with shitty people like Elon Musk and J.K. Rowling. Thank God I quit before they decided to turn a dead guy's voice into a glorified chatbot.
