The fact it has this CPU alone is well worth the price. Yes, some balk because it’s a 5070 paired with it but the fact you have so much headroom for performance with this is crazy. You can just slap in a 5090 and still have CPU headroom in most games cause of the 3D V-cache.

Yeah, I’ve been telling people, you’re better off finding a well-specced prebuilt because you’re not really saving anything or actually spending more doing DIY. I did see though Costco has a 9800X3D PC with a 5070 going for like $1600 as the processor and GPU alone are $1000.

Yeah it’s not good. DDR5 is feeling it so much worse.

The only downside of buying a pair of individual sticks is that dual-channel might not work if they don’t match, so performance can take a hit and one stick would work better than 2.

Oh I’m also there with a nearly empty FC cause I don’t want to lose the medium house it’s attached to cause I want to revamp it when the housing update comes in 7.5.

Yeah I’ve got the Beats Pro Studio+ and those sound better than my AirPod Pros did. It also works quite well on higher end headphones too. But if you haven’t heard of an Atmos song before, does get some getting used to.

Do recommend trying out their Spatial Audio playlists.

It depends on your earbuds. I like Atmos depending on the song. Especially ones that take advantage of the shroud effect.

Yeah they’re slowly expanding up in that direction, but gonna take some time. They only just opened up their first west coast stores down in the LA area.

Being able to demonstrate mechanics and such with a shareable real-time editor while in the duty will be so much nicer to explain to people than pointing to raid plans or a video.

I thought they did this ages ago when they started hiring contractors to do their deliveries. In the like maybe 5 orders I placed through Amazon all of last year, they never went through USPS.

The thing that sucks is that this makes it a dualopoly now between SK Hynix and Samsung in the consumer space for RAM chips for RAM manufacturers. And Samsung is already having issues as they told their own phone division that they can’t do a 12-mo contract for RAM chips and can only do 3-mo.

It’s now getting to the point where you’re going to have to look at prebuilts because building on your own is becoming inaccessible financially.

Like I’m trying to come up with alternatives for people to not spend $500 on freaking RAM now.
