Google Translate's "old man" has me baffled: I guess it is a misunderstanding of anus, which can be "old WOMAN"... but in this context (genitals!), it's definitely the other anus ha ha.

and I've got a Greek student this afternoon, so I just marked up the Xenophanes passages that are in our textbook, Athenaze (volume 2). I really love the reading-based method in Athenaze but it's bonkers that they teach nothing about meter. luckily my student really loves doing the meter. me too :-)
