Happy half frame Friday! #hff

Continuing the build-up to #wwhfpd25 here's a recap of what it's all about.
Black text on white background reads "We are excited to announce the inaugural Worldwide Half-frame Photography Day on 6th September 2025.

A day to celebrate and have fun with this great film format.

We hope people all over the world will go out with their half-frame cameras and have some fun taking photos! Either solo or by going on a photo-walk with other half-frame aficionados." Black text on white background reads "As part of the day, we are running a photography competition. Photo competition is free to enter, the three categories are:
People
Places
Possibilities

Photos can be taken from 1-7th Sept, so people have a chance to take 72 frames. Submissions will be open from 7th September to 8th November 2025

Judges and prizes TBC " Black text on white background reads: "People can find or organise a half frame walk on Photowalk.me on event https://www.photowalk.me/event/worldwide-half-frame-photography-day-6th-september-2025

I've not managed to get north of Perth since 2018... It's a beautiful area isn't it.

I don't normally like Lomo Turquoise, but I'll make an exception for these, some cracking photos and I'm so pleased the gratuitous cock shot made the selection. 🤣

Falls of Bruar, many years ago.

I agree with your observation on Instagram, the spray paint matching the paving is a very nice touch.

I have two threaded VND filters. Generally happy but some noticeable uneven darkening if used past about 3 stops. Optically decent, and less colour cast than my B+W fixed 10 stop. Have heard mixed reviews about their magnetic ones which is why I stuck with threaded.

Chroma can probably help scratch the itch at a better quality/price ratio.

Actually with 1+999,999 dilution and enough days most developers can produce fabulous results, don'tyaknow?

Stop spreading misinformation. It's add one week for each stop underexposed. 🤔

I've just downloaded my scans from the two rolls of Gold I used for #wwhfpd25 - 155 images in total. That's my half frame Fridays taken care of for 3 years! 😅

More than I've managed. I'm officially a non-participant this time around. 😔

Look forward to seeing what you got though!

And yes, you'd better believe I made this photo just for a silly joke. 😅

Another photographically sparse week, so for #sharemondays2025 here's a photo more documentary than aesthetic, of the river Esk in Musselburgh after the storm.

An ever ready case has seen things you couldn't imagine.

I'm intrigued... Mine would be fix first, only made that mistake once though.

The thing Meatloaf wouldn't do?

Me too, I consider them the handsomest 6x6 SLR.

It's a great pocketable camera. The shutter on mine is a bit flaky (the return spring stretches over time causing error messages and need to switch off/on again) but with a selection of tiny lenses it's a lot of fun.
