Occasional music hackery. Probably a Stasi informant.

Previously @lazerguidedblog on whatever the hell Twitter is now

Lives in Glasgow, works in London, hides in Dublin.
Hard agree. All those amateur drinkers, clogging up the place. You'd never catch dear old Charlie Hawtrey in a December pub.

This has been debunked so many times it's actually boring. Attack Farage for who he is, not who you imagine him to be. www.channel4.com/news/factche...
FactCheck: there’s no evidence Nigel Farage was in the National Front
A lot of people are claiming that Nigel Farage was involved in the notorious far-right National Front party as a teenager.

One day, @iammilliam.bsky.social's long-promised AH and the Three Investigators compendium will emerge into the real world...

The one line I thought you'd struggle to finish.

I once had Magic Roundabout spaghetti on toast for Xmas dinner (during a whole Christmas spent reading whilst ignoring the entire world). 10/10, would recommend.

A huge sliding doors moment, especially so soon after the Pornography LP. But, one of these things is not like the other.

One of the most dread-inducing singles ever released. All kinds of marvellous.

You don't have to pay it, Paul. Take a stand! The revolution starts here!

That’s bizarre logic. We all “subsidise” the viewing/listening habits of others via the BBC’s funding model (including – yes – sport), and besides, no-one is making you pay the license fee if you feel that strongly about it.

Oddly, the BBC itself claimes to be a PSB www.bbc.com/aboutthebbc. And that's a reductive argument; you could say the same about the NHS, the fire service, libraries, etc.

No; subscription public service broadcasting ain't a thing. And I'm currently watching a doc on Schopenhauer on BBC4, which probably isn't a Netflix commission. The BBC is something we should cherish.

Are there any examples of viable, mass-scale subscription-based, public service broadcasting worldwide? Also, multiple TV/radio channels, online platforms, a vast archive, and it’s all shite? Really?

Did the same, and thought it one of the worst films I've ever watched.

We shall duel at dawn (or do some other compromise or other).

There's a Wrote-The-Theme-Tune, Sing-The-Theme-Tune gag in theme somewhere, but I can't quite find it.
