🧬 Higher-yielding, more climate-resilient livestock breeds

🔎 There is plenty of evidence showing how these interventions can improve efficiency if implemented appropriately in the local context.

This is in contrast to a 'business-as-usual' scenario where investment in production efficiency is low, so growing demand is met through increasing animal numbers and a corresponding rise in absolute greenhouse gas emissions.
