I wonder how many of my cis friends realize that the only way I can stop transitioning is if I die and ideally peacefully in my sleep of old age. Surgeries, therapy, and hormones don't end my transition but the fastest way to end my transition and kill me would be removing those as my resources.

Yea Billionaires are systemically problematic and should be taxed out of existence as a class but I'd still vote for this guy if it means retaining my rights under the law.
There are trans Americans right now looking out at this world and wondering if anyone is going to stand up for them and for their simple right to exist.

I’m pretty sure the guy was *not* a Trump voter but even if he was, this is about insulin, not a yacht. When someone can’t get medicine, regardless of who they voted for, the correct response isn’t fafo, it’s “I am outraged with you, did you hear about what’s happening to ___? That’s messed up too!”

Staring past the obvious answer that the difference here is just misogyny and instead pretending that Trump voters have serious and unaddressed concerns that we need to write think pieces about and take seriously.
Someone we talked to recently voted for Trump in part because Harris' campaign, with all the high-profile celebrities, seemed un-serious to her.
We can have all the judgments we want about how anyone could look at those two candidates and say Harris was less serious, but I think there's more there.

Since the election I've started to settle into a weird sense of relief. If Kamala'd won and run the white house like Joe we'd've been delaying the inevitable. But instead all of our worst fears are happening now. And it's almost less stressfull in the long run to just get to it and get it over with.
