My first thought: if this is how they feel, they should take legislative action. At 219-213, it only takes FOUR of them voting with Ds to give tRUmp a slap in the face, & resigning won't protect them from magaworld retaliation.

I don't think mayoral choice significantly impacts the voting of the populace outside of the state (or even possibly within it) but the tidal change that electing Mamdani hints at can propagate hope across the nation that there is interest in, and hope for, electing more Dems/Liberals/Progressives.
