I enjoyed government run supermarkets for over 20 years. They are called “Commissaries.” You can find them on literally any US Military Post (Base). In Mamdani’s New York, you won’t have to be in the stink ass Army to enjoy one.
Turns out Mamdani's controversial proposal for government-run supermarkets isn't so novel. Other cities also are toying with the idea to bring fresh, affordable food to communities that do not have easy access to it. Good WSJ read (gift link)

Went to Band of America in Indianapolis this past week. Those HS Students are ridiculously great.

My youngest took a well earned break transporting her bass drum. Her High School Marching Band finished fourth at state. Percussion/Drum Line earned “High Distinction.”
