Watching it now and it’s crazy how much I loved their stuff when I was 10-12 years old picking movies from Blockbuster. Very fun stuff but also bottom of the barrel. Didn’t realize The Apple was them.

Alright not to get too nerdy, but I remember reading (maybe more recently) that the gap in the hull of the 1400 was for cargo docking since it was a freighter. Obvs the 2400 has a giant cylinder in the gap. Was the gap use a complete retcon after this game came out? I’d love to know the lore.

I try to keep things less parasocial with my expectations of a like or a comment back, but I absolutely make sure to like and reply to any videos I enjoyed. But I will knife fight anyone in the comments talking shit. Realizing there’s an actual human behind the vids makes me overly protective.

I seem to remember my psychedelic experiences having a cooldown period of personal reflection in the days following, and having sleep during that period to realign my thoughts each day. Speedrunning that experience seems like a bad idea for real introspection.

Is that the spot behind Skipper’s Smokehouse? Had a band unit there in the 90s and would see a lot of death metal guys there back in the day. We had a wall just inside the rollup to put an a/c in to make it bearable.

English is a difficult language because of all of the context to certain words. Cost doesn’t equal value. The cost of generating an NFT is fairly negligible, whereas the value is almost certainly closer to 0.

While some of the cg stuff is pretty bad (all of the cg animals) the script is very poetic, the art direction is incredible and unnerving, sets are beautiful, makeup is inspired, and the costume design is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Felt broken-hearted at the end, nice work BdT
