Every year I see slander and every year I feel compelled to say it, no matter how many friends it may cost me: Ron Howard’s Grinch is awesome. It’s so fucking funny, and it leans so hard into its bizarro, garish aesthetic that it becomes inspired. There. I said it. #filmsky

Some strong synergy between these two blockbusters, released less than a year apart. Both are directed by low-budget horror icons who demonstrated an insane ability to take on huge action movies. Best in their class. #filmsky
