If it weren't for Rumi's story being the biggest damn queer allegory in recent memory, I'd have spent the entire movie fawning over what it looks like when an AuDHD woman trying to forge stability in her own self-generated chaos is unconditionally loved and supported for who she is.

I think that's the part that always slays me about the right attempting to troll by pretending to be the left: they're so utterly incapable of escaping their information silo that even the cleverest ones' best attempts to imitate our own rhetoric still wrap it in terms only they ever obsess over.

Revisited this movie after four years and discovered they'd done alternate posters for the theatrical release.
There haven't been many decent creative works about game development, but this one is remarkably grounded given its premise.

My final speech for my college class, "Eulogy of a Deadname," was performed and turned in tonight.
I had to give a "special occasion" speech. I chose a eulogy of the person my family lost when I transitioned, the person I gave up to be myself.

![My family were the first ones to refer to their “mourning” of [REDACTED]. They used my name… occasionally, after I’d legally changed it. They never fixed anything else. They said “he”. They talked to my boys about their “father” years after I’d become “Ren” to them (which is short for “paRENt”). They told me I’d never be accepted as a daughter, a sister. Eventually, they pushed me away. They didn’t feel the same obligation to me, that they felt to [REDACTED]. They’d lost him, and it was my fault.
We all, in our own way, become who we are today because of who we were in the past. We may not share the same beliefs, goals, dreams, or even family as our past selves. Loving the person you used to be, because they were the one who helped you become who you are, is an essential part of life’s journey.
I would not have made it through the early years of my life as myself. I would not have survived without the degree of support and community I received strictly because I just barely met social expectations enough of the time. There was no safe path out of a place filled with people that consider any additional degree of deviance worthy of scorn, abuse, and abandonment. There was never anyone who could have shown me any other path, especially not in the days before social media or widespread Internet. Most of all, my family has shown me, in the years since I came out to them, precisely the way in which they’d have rejected me all along.

I finally had a breather to watch Kpop Demon Hunters.
As someone who's actually said "I shattered into a million pieces and had to find myself in the broken glass," I am *thoroughly* unsurprised to find out "What it Sounds Like" was intended a queer allegory.

"Leiracal" is a play on "lyrical". I have a music background, and bard is my favorite D&D class.
I also adopted the clef heart as a personal symbol. Two elements treated as separate opposites, but part of a contiguous inseparable whole that works best when working together to build harmony.
