So much effort has gone into both Hiker and its presentation website. It's our most ambitious project and has become the foundation of all the work we do at @whitecube.be by augmenting what we can do with Laravel.

I will be recording some demo videos soon!
Last week we shared the Hiker demo.
This week, we focus on the website. Clean, simple, full of docs & guides for you to go through.

Go take a look 👉 hiker.dev

Python looking good
as a condition of funding, we were asked to affirm that we wouldn’t undertake any diversity, equity, and inclusion work, whether or not we used the government funds to do so. The PSF simply couldn’t agree to that statement,

👥 You can now add multiple user group leaders to manage your user group, administrate users and change the user group owner through a new members dashboard. Just one of the many more things to come in the upcoming months ✨

Normalize typing whole ass e-mails just to get stuff out of your system and then deleting the draft because you can’t be bothered to get in an argument ✨

Current status: turning 133.071 queries into just 33 by writing a simple 5-line eager load using Laravel's "with" method.

Thinking about getting this framed to put on my bedside table

This is super handy to run CI pipelines on different branches!

Question for #Laravel devs: how do you avoid duplicated queries when you're listing the same model in both nav & footer blade components?

I made a simple page visit tracker for my blog because I don't need any fancy tracking. What did I learn?

That internet is a scary place. I get approx. one attack per week on a small time blog that barely gets any visits.

It's just bots spamming common vulnerabilities, but still

I was Artisan of the Day a couple days ago! Just from sending a quick video to laravel.com/stories

I highly encourage everyone to do the same, it's great fun. I'm curious to find new people from the #Laravel community through these posts too, as it's not just for those who are already well-known!

Laravel Shift is amazing, so much so that I can usually merge the PR without really looking into the changes beyond "does everything still work?"

First time actually looking at it commit by commit and I'm learning some new things I didn't know about Laravel.
