A Chipping Sparrow perched in a Cottonwood tree. I often see them foraging for food among the wild grasses on the ground. At times, they fly up into the trees and sing. They like the aspens, spruces, and fruit trees too.

This bird appears to be a Western Wood-Pewee because of having a less noticeable eye ring, yellow on the lower mandible at the base and longer wings. I saw this one hanging out just after a September monsoon rain storm.

A Pygmy Nuthatch. I enjoy watching them move around quickly across the branches of Ponderosa Pines trees. They are quite the acrobats. I have seen them hanging upside down off a branch.
