and as for writing, knowing that I want to eventually share the piece with the world has not helped me finish any of it.

ehhh I don't really find that to be the case for myself, at least for drawing. I usually like to show it off after the fact, but what brings me to create in the first place is a desire to participate in the creation process itself.

That probably contributes to it. But I've had this problem even before I first got social media. I think it's the fear of embarrassing myself with poor writing or something 🤔
