I know it became a meme, but it is some of the best advice an artist could receive. It's true.

That has really come through in developing this Tears video. I had completely forgotten about how I used to write Zelda videos because I was afraid of how this one would be perceived. I've discarded the prevailing narrative about the game entirely, and just wrote entirely from the heart, as before.

The truth is that you have to write for yourself, and believe in the quality of your own idea, rather than how it will be perceived.

These quotes remind me of what I'm working towards, and why I began to write, respectively. You have to write about what YOU feel you want or need first.

GOD DAMN. I feel like I've played enough PS2 games to not be surprised by their beauty, but this shit is gorgeous

I guess I needed to take a break from writing anyway. This is certainly one way for that to happen.

someone could be playing a finished copy of the game in front of me at this point and i would only believe it if valve announced the game themselves. it's a fact that HLX is being worked on, for sure, but i've been doing this song and dance for so long.
