Hitler was bad.

An essay that, you know, I didn’t think I’d need to write.

I was about to tell everyone that the bike lane along W. River Parkway between 44th St. and Lake Street is mostly clear pavement and good for running (or biking, walking, etc.)! Then I looked at the weather forecast

Photos from St. Paul today captured by MPR photojournalist Kerem Yücel. He filed them even after being hospitalized after being injured by a less lethal munition.

this is it, this is the wrongest thing I’ve ever read on the internet.
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

Attention Twin Citizens: this morning I ran across the gathering of a veritable Turkey Army under the Ford Bridge. Cars and cyclists were met with derision and belligerence. I fear they have heard about our Thanksgiving plans and they are preparing an all out Turkey Trot

I read a lot of books about running, and can I just say: Let's stop writing about Pheidippides. Really. He's been dead for thousands of years. Just let that poor man lie already.

Politics aside, some people mistake a change in their own subjective tastes and preferences for a change in the objective quality of things.

Those pizza chains were never all that great.
Late-stage MAGA means accepting that things will never be great again

OK -- this is a long shot -- but does *anyone* have a copy of either of these two books about Lin Carter? (in the thread) They are hellishly difficult to find; I can't even find them from used sellers or on auction sites at any price!

Once when I was camping at Lake Maria SP, as I drank my morning coffee in a chilly dawn, six trumpeter swans flew over me, quite low, snowy and massive and so graceful, and it was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen.
It's such a thrill to see and hear trumpeter swans go by overhead.
