Not your stereotypical Boomer. Veteran, mom, metal-head, and an avid gamer. A political wonk since we fought for the right to vote at 18. Democracy requires participation.

www.americanprogress.org: The Corporate Power Reset That Makes Citizens United Irrelevant

Robert Reich laid it out beautifully. We don't need to overturn Citizens United. SCOTUS ruled on the "right" of corporations, not their power. Powers are regulated at the state level and they can prohibit corporations from donating or participating in politics. Citizens United becomes irrelevant.

Yeah, he'll turn the IRS into a big Ponzi scheme so he rakes in the cash, the federal government goes unfunded and people starve. Government outlets will sell his tchotchkes to the rubes until they are bled dry. A national sales tax will be charged that's so high no one can afford to buy anything...

other presidents didn't ask for a (wink-wink, nod-nod) donation for the pardon.

Same mentality as the guys sitting at the local diner and talk about waiting for the mines to reopen. They’ve been shut down for over 30 years now. Same with the factory in Post, TX. Or any other small town that had a boom and bust. People cling to a promise because they desperately need it.

When my kids were young, money was super tight. Our deal for birthdays was the birthday boy got a homemade cake, his favorite dinner and control of the tv for the day. If they got a gift, it was usually something they needed.

Not at all. The Hague can indict and issue arrest warrants. If they do that, TACO and anyone else they indict, will have travel outside the United States limited to countries not part of the Rome Statute. (we signed it but Congress didn't ratify it) Not exactly places TACO thinks are ideal.

The oligarchs have been selling the idea we NEED to buy Christmas gifts. Your kids NEED that new gaming system, whether you can afford it or not. It's relentless pressure so parents even go into debt for f-ing Christmas gifts! Used to be advertising started after Thanksgiving.. Now it's Halloween!

every time he asks "Who are you with?" the answer should be:"I'm with the American People"
December 2, 2025 at 8:28 PM
This! When TACO came down that escalator, the networks cashed in on the outrage he caused. They used his celebrity and they myth he was a successful businessman to their advantage, ethics be damned. After his first disastrous term, the only lesson the MSM learned was he made them money. End of story
December 2, 2025 at 10:47 AM
Anyone who blindly follows a TACO's illegal orders is reaching the FO part a lot quicker these days. TBH, I think insecure communications and a habit of bragging online will ultimately place the blame where it belongs.

People are so dumb. The blackout was merely to send a message. Retailers could just do another sale another weekend.

They drive this NEED to buy gifts at Christmas. My husband and I just decide if there's something we actually need and get it as our gift to ourselves or not... No pressure.

If we are talking about the character of Scrooge, I prefer the Muppet Christmas Carol. Michael Caine's version, while granted it's a family friendly movie, comes across as the most plausible redemption. George C. Scott's version is my least favorite and to me, comes across as totally unredeemable.

Looks like my fellow vault dwellers and Wasteland warriors are rising. I suggest we throw in some Helldivers, Spartans, and Guardians to fill out our resistance. LOL

Not everyone is a good cook or baker. It's not about where the dish comes from but family/friends being together to share a meal and have a good time. I'm retired so I can go all out baking but I care more about the party and seeing people I haven't seen for months!

She's not any different today than she has been for her entire political career. So, she did a quiet, respectful video announcing her "resignation" but she's NOT resigning. She's just not running for reelection. She spelled out how TACO is funding a primary opponent. She folded. She has other plans.

If his statement were true, we wouldn't have a whole bunch of the J6 people running around masquerading as ICE agents, terrorizing people.
This guy is totally batshit nuts. The sooner he's removed from office, the better.

Doesn't matter how much he tries to hide the information in the Epstein files. There's a money trail. There are witnesses and victims. There are 1000 agents redacting his name out who've seen the files. So many ways for this to see the light of day. Remember, Capone got caught for taxes.
November 20, 2025 at 11:12 AM
Likely several. Some out of a sense of right vs wrong. Some out of avarice with a possible big payout for the leverage these files hold. Some out of self preservation keeping leverage as protection. Lots of reasons for 1k agents to keep a copy.
It's hard to keep a secret when 1000 know the it.
