Day 6 - Sweet Cinnamon Spice Masala Chai
I have this in one of my other gift boxes so already knew how it tastes. I like it well enough but probably wouldn't buy it on its own.

Day 4 - High Mountain Oolong Tea

It's lovely! Flavorful and aromatic. I had half of it plain and the other half with milk&honey. Both were fabulous.

Day 3

I've had this one before. It's a nice, warming tea.

Day 2 - India's Original Masala Chai. I added a little bit of homemade honey and that's all. It was amazing, probably the best chai I've ever had. It would be fantastic with milk but I'm glad I had it mostly raw.

I need to share my joy somewhere and I don't post anywhere else so here we are. Husband gave me a tea advent calendar last Christmas and I finally get to use it!

Today is day one - Himalayan Green Tea. It was delicious!

County commissioners backing the effort say it will give the area more independence from a Democratic-controlled statehouse. But critics are questioning the motives behind the effort.

Douglas County, Colorado, wants to be the bad guys. "an alarming power grab was launched by...County Commissioners when they announced a special election, costing an unnecessary $500,000 in tax payer dollars, to turn Douglas County...into a Home Rule County. This vote will be on June 24, 2025"

Harry & David, with whom I have only dealt once, sent this text message on April 16th.

Now that I'm being bombarded with Mother's Day emails and texts from all my regular vendors, I cannot stress how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness.

On May 2, 2025, the Trump Administration released its FY2026 federal budget proposal.

It calls for completely eliminating the budget for the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS).

It also cuts NEA, NEH, AmeriCorps, and PBS

STATEMENT: President Trump’s FY2026 Budget Proposal Will Eliminate the Institute of Museum and Library Services
These attacks are ideologically motivated and structurally dangerous to our educational, civic, cultural, and community institutions.

I've always tried to take time for appreciation but it's more important to me now because there's a greater chance of losing all the things I appreciate.

Also, get on your library board or, if there isn't one, your city council.
We need all library supporters to write and call their members of Congress now and urge them to protect federal funding for libraries by preventing the dismantling of the Institute for Museum and Library Services
Call to action for library support
If this order is allowed to stand, it will hurt millions of Americans, especially those in rural areas, who rely on our libraries.

I reference this Far Side cartoon so often these days. Before this year, I thought of it maybe once every 18 months, or so, and now I think of it once or twice every 18 hours.

I think 12 key moments of Cory Booker's historic, record-breaking speech, regarding our potential as a nation and the inspiring things Americans have done, should be printed and hung in classrooms.

The Smithsonian showcases American history and science. Black History is American history, both the horrific and the celebratory parts. Same with Indigenous history, with women's history. We don't have another institution where everything is gathered in one place like this.
To the Black people who support the felon, voters and lawmakers:

He's targeting the National Museum of African American History and Culture. This is OUR history.

If you're not angry about this, fuck you!

Yeah, I said it!

Where's my fukn tea?☕️
