I feel like it’s time to share this again. I haven’t had a thread on here that got this little traction. A bit better on LinkedIn. I actually doubt very few disagree, but assume they don’t want to show support (publicly). What are you all afraid of?
This week the #ScholCommLab has made its support for the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) public. We do so in response to the genocide in Gaza and the deliberate destruction of its education system—what scholars now identify as scholasticide. [1/x]
Today, the #scholcommlab published a Statement of Support for PACBI Principles. With it, I reject my university's (SFU's) complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, and call them out for restricting my ability to direct the work of @pkp.sfu.ca in a principled way. www.scholcommlab.ca/pacbi/

The paper in Profesional de la Información raises further concerns: its DOI, apparently recently registered by the journal’s previous owner, not the current one, shows conflicting metadata in Crossref.
Más contradicciones: de los 7 DOI generados la semana pasada, dos presentan discrepancias entre los metadatos registrados en Crossref y la información publicada en la web de la revista. En este ejemplo, ninguno de los títulos parece encajar con la temática habitual de la revista.
