The resolution is on par with the Plustek 8200i I was using before for 35mm, but of course it's vastly faster and has better dynamic range so should handle more contrasty shots better where the Plustek couldn't (even with multiple exposures you had very little latitude with the scanner). 2/2

Giving DSLR scanning another try now the tools and software have improved a bit since 2019. Bought myself a cheap(!) Nikon D600 and Sigma 105mm macro from MPB. Initial results are looking nice. 1/2

Tragic news: The breeding male of Oregon's Metolius pack was recently found killed near Sisters, Oregon.

If you love wolves, you should be very concerned - the Endangered Species Act (ESA), the very legislation that saved gray wolves, Red Wolves, and Mexican gray wolves, is under attack. Call on your representatives in Congress to save the ESA.

I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

Early morning Mount Fuji. I love the twilight light from the opposite direction of a sunrise, especially with mountains. This was late autumn season, when I saw lots of autumn leaves at the bottom of the lake. Taken with a CPL to make them visible.
