EMERGENCY UPDATE: We’re in dire need of support due to an ongoing power outage that has destroyed our food supplies, drained our batteries, and has us stuck in the cold with no heat. PLEASE SHARE! 1/2
We’ve charged our devices and are heading back to the camper now. We won’t have service there and the outage map has no estimate on when they will even be able to start work on restoring our power. PLEASE keep quoting/commenting/sharing to boost as I will not have internet access to do so.

In all seriousness, publishers are going to have to figure out how to market books in the post-social-media landscape. That should be an implicit part of their job. What authors/artists can do on their own is increasingly limited and siloed.

I had a really great idea yesterday that lit me up in a way writing hasn’t done for a while, but today I woke up and remembered the reality of the industry and the risks I can and can’t afford to take right now and I’m very very sad.
