Let's face it, if you make 5% per year investing that, it becomes $10M of income, taxed at 20% for long term capital gains. I think I could live quite easily on $8M per year without touching the principal.

Why? They're still earnings, whether made from working or gambling. Even a $346M lump sum is likely to be about $200M after tax. If you can't make $200M last for the rest of your life, there's something wrong.

Yeah, I have my collection on random. Then again, I have about 5,500 tracks to choose from, and I could easily listen to full albums if I wanted to

Just stating facts

Yeah, sure. I can do a lot with narrowing down to a metro area with millions of residents🙄. I live in the Raleigh Durham research triangle.

It's already being replaced daily. More employers are putting in chargers at work, and more apartments are putting chargers in their parking lots. Maybe it doesn't work for you, but for me, a 4 cyl is last decade's technology. Outdated, more expensive, and polluting.

Nope. Never had to use recovery with my EV.

Which major metropolis? Most have tons of chargers. An ioniq6 RWD would get almost 400 miles around town, so I don't see a problem here.

Time to convert them to highest quality mp3 and connect your phone?

Where do you live that is so devoid of charging stations?
November 27, 2025 at 8:19 PM
So how often do you drive more than 200 miles per day? That's more than the outskirts of a city. I just plug mine in at home. I've used a DC fast charger by necessity once in 2 years

I also used an ionna station once to test the NACS adapter, and a EVGO charger to activate plug and charge.

Still, you're apparently claiming that a 15-20% increase in weight (and I'm granting you a larger gap than reality) is going to offset a drivetrain efficiency improvement of approximately 300% (then best ice engines are about 30% efficient, versus close to 90% for an electric motor).

Hmm, but there are plenty of cars weighing less than that minimum. Maybe chat GPT is stating GVWR instead of kerb weight. They're very different.

That's a lot heavier than mine, and there are plenty of others lighter still. If this country wasn't governed by imbeciles, you would have many more. The Renault 4 EV is 3109lbs in it's lightest trim. That's lighter than a 2025 Honda Accord.
