now that I think about it the entire show really kinda feels like it's on the surface of tapping into themes of parental/authority figure struggles and trauma, and instead just gets distracted into shallow teenage romance.

it sucks because I did really like season 1 and I do remember quite a bit from it. everything else is such a blur besides more "iconic" or heavily advertised moments.

It has EVERYTHING I love; compelling storytelling, over-the-top body horror, eldritch concepts and a little humor within the dread. And every enemy is so unique I never get sick of combat encounters. It's hard to do other things because it's occupying my mind so much right now lmfao
