No students showed up for my afterschool art class today, so we're making the most of it with this pollinating Halictid. 🎨

I have an acute aversion to the color orange (especially living in the US right now 🫠) but the underpainting method has been helping brighten midtones/improve realism.

I learned that few elementary-aged kids have the patience to sit and focus on carving even a tiny stamp. Now I'm thinking maybe I was a weird kid. 😆

There were a few bees leftover from my insect illustration workshop so I used them in this "bio-mandala" suncatcher to commemorate a great day with some totally awesome humans.
