I'm so sorry! I had a really bad ear infection in my 20s and it was the worst pain I have ever felt. Drove myself to the ER at 3am because the pain was utterly intolerable. It's surprising that such a tiny body part can cause such agony. I hope you feel better soon!

Speaking as a pet sitter and trainer, this doesn't sound crazy at all and actually makes sense from a behavioral standpoint. Any seasoned, qualified pet sitter would understand. I know they can be a little hard to find, but they do exist!
