Revising your own academic texts requires lots of juggling and sifting through of layers, perspectives and choices. No wonder results can be uneven and less than satisfying.

Fall is my favorite time of year. I’m trying to walk around Donostia as much as I can before it’s too wet, windy or dark.

Caught this lovely bit of afternoon light while walking through a park on my way home yesterday.
A path wends through some trees and up ahead sunlight turns a big patch of leaves a golden yellow.

Still energized and in thinking mode after yesterday's annual planning class with @jovanevery.bsky.social, I've hiked up Donostia's Monte Urgull to do some dedicated thinking and writing about the joys and logistics of running #WritingRetreats and #SocialWriting projects in 2025-2026. #MiniRetreat

Pleased as punch to see @gretchenmcc.bsky.social's Spanish edition of 'Because Internet' ('Arroba lengua' [@ Language]) on full display at the Basque Government's wonderful linguistics library in Donostia-San Sebastián, @habeliburutegia.bsky.social.

Now we need a Basque version, e.g. Aupa hizkunta
