I like a lot of the EN voices more than the JP ones, actually, it's just the acting that's off.

G Gundam is my "favorite" dub, probably. The voices are great, but it feels like the actors didn't always know what was happening on screen, so their delivery can be a bit off. It works oddly well for such an absurd super robo.

The mall near me is actually a ghost town on Black Friday--I don't feel scared going in (though I go early afternoon, not midnight). I think a lot of places also stopped doing midnight openings too.
