Similar to WeChat Public Account, which doesn't allow links to contents outside of the WeChat Public Account sphere. Which was one of the major reasons (apart from other obvious reasons such as censorship etc.) why the Chinese internet discourse has become so stupid in the last decade.
Finally got to write about this obsession. Elon pushed people to stop linking the articles they were talking about. He's started to roll that back, but we were left with a culture of people yelling at screenshots of headlines on monetized accounts

It's not just here but in some charged threat cases where DOJ is treating, "you're a Nazi" or "you're a fascist" as a threat rather than a reasonable observation.
From Bovino's deposition: (1) he calls protestors "violent" if they articulate views hostile to ICE, even if no violence is manifested; (2) he instructs his forces to attack and arrest protestors who express "hyperbolic comments," which is to say, criticism of ICE and Bovino.
