Good to know Sadie. And it's only Minx’s hearsay as nobody really know what the dust is or where it comes from. But useful knowledge to store away for the future 🧐

It's where I often end up…

They’d been told not to go there but who ever listened to parents. The giveaway was the white dust that settled on their clothes, in their hair and on the tongue. Minx said it was #ash from the bodies that burned but nobody knew. Nobody knew how the fire started either. It was forever ago. #vss365

As soon as she sat down that first day at the office, she knew they’d #clash. Her new colleague sat opposite, didn’t even acknowledge her existence. Not a hello or even a nod in her direction.

She didn’t know what she’d done. Later she’d find out. It was nothing but everything. #vss365

Her eyes fly open as something winds its fingers through her hair. She kicks off, scraping against the pool's rough concrete floor. The shiny railing above mocks her. Only a few strokes away. Blue. Chlorine. Blue. She breaks the surface. ‘No swimming without a lifeguard,' the sign states.

The venue for last night’s #bookclub meeting in our village. The old church is now a community hub.

As I strolled up after a hectic day, I stopped for a moment to take in its beauty and to snap this picture and to remind myself how #thankful I am to live in this gorgeous part of #Wales.
Picture of an old church now a community hub, with the doorway and two stained glass windows illuminated

So we have arrived. I’ve always loved October. My mum’s birthday falls this month and it was also the month she died, seventeen years already. It holds a melancholic sweetness for me of memories gone and ones yet to make. #October #Autumn

My memory of the incident is a #blur. The police have questioned me repeatedly. I still can’t explain what happened. One moment you were there and the next gone. Forever. I’m the main suspect. No matter how many times I tell them I don’t know, they think I’m lying. But I loved you. Always. #vss365

It is a fab song. And great when you need uplifting. Hard to say which is my favourite although I do love The Universal.

Love Blur. Seen them in concert a couple of times. Particularly love The Great Escape album

The books said try daily rebounding, flax seeds, decluttering. Things to help #reinvigorate. But Alice felt tired in her soul not just her body. She longed for home - her mother making tea, telling her to rest, smoothing her hair. She misses those small acts of love, feels untethered. Adrift #vss365

‘Will you love me forever and a day?’ I ask in a whimsical moment

‘Perhaps,’ he answers. And I know his response comes from a childhood of hurt. From a mother forced to walk away and a sense of abandonment he continues to carry.

‘That’s good enough for me,’ I say. And I mean it. #vss365

#Catastrophe averted,’ Carly said. Lee rolled his eyes. ‘This time, maybe.’ What would be next?Carly lurched from one disaster to the next. He’d tried to intervene but she seemed to enjoy living this way. He worried her bad luck would rub off on him. He loved her. Could he carry on like this?#vss365

She needed time to take #stock. What to do? Who to call? Rob’s bloodied body was exactly where she’d hit him with the iron, laying in the middle of the lounge. Donna would know what to do. Donna was a good friend. She knew about Rob’s violent outbreaks. She’d know how to dispose of the body. #vss365

It was easy to #conspire against you and to join the others. Much harder to rail against their views and stand up for what was right. I watched as you fell and saw the disbelief in your eyes when you sought me out. I wish I could tell you if I could turn back time, I’d do things differently. #vss365

Thanks to @stephlepht.bsky.social for hosting #vss365 and providing inspiring prompts. Circumstances right now mean I don’t always contribute but its good to see the daily prompts and read what others have submitted 😊

#Flinching she made her way across the stones and pebbles. It would be worth it once she was under the waves and her tail reappeared enabling her to swim fiercely with the others. She’d heard their calling, was desperate to return. Each step hurt. Human life hurt. They’d tried to warn her. #vss365

Autumn has a distinctive #style. Bold red, warming orange, shimmering gold. Pumpkins, apples, harvests gathered. Look at me nature shouts. Aren’t I glorious, before growing tired and discarding its clothing. It has kept best bits for last ahead of readying itself for the harshness of Winter. #vss365
