Not the sort of message you want to get whilst being away but one of my newer hens, Junco, died unexpectedly overnight last night. Really gutted, she was so nice.

If you saw her on the first 5 minutes of an on-lead walk where she knows she's going somewhere exciting, you'd be forgiven for thinking she's had no training at all 😂

Amazing to see and handle my first ever Barbastelle bats (under license) as part of a long-term monitoring scheme with Vincent Wildlife Trust!!! 😍 I've wanted to see one of these for years!

"Merlin is making people stupid and losing field skill-" hey, how about shut up and be happy people are engaging with wildlife, my mum sent me these from Spain and is having a great time recording new bird species, she would never have bothered before

That's it for our first Pawsability show, one 3rd in jumping and a few Es, but she hit all the training targets I wanted her to do, thrived in the show environment, and had loads of fun. I'm so pleased with her, she tried SO hard 💕

All 3 runs done for the day now. My handling errors in the last 2 led to 2 eliminations, but some REALLY cool stuff in both, and one sleepy dog (and human)

So proud of Raven I could cry. Her first outdoor Kennel Club show, smashed the course apart from having to re-do the weave entry, just me to speed up now 😂 all our hard work is paying off 🥹
