Have been on the 'other place' over 10 years but it can be so toxic now. Haven Players (amateur dramatics) & WI. Love wildlife! Baking, gardening & writing. Living 'our dream' on 1 & a half acres with 3 ex-commercial hens. All views my own.
Today has been mixed: I woke up with my right hand in pain & spasm, no idea why, has made transferring & doing most things difficult; collected my hearing aids & so 🤫please, it's so loud.

You lot.. Thank you.

Right - just had a 😢, 'sorry for myself' few moments & now I need to appreciate the small things & move onwards but it can be hard, even when I think of what others are dealing with. 🙃

OH's 93 year old dad is still in A&E on a trolley, over 24 hours now, waiting for a bed.

OH's dad fell over last night in his kitchen (not hurt, it seems), refused an ambulance, all very stressful & it looks as if family is facing that he's not safe on his own..

Thoughts & prayers appreciated: had an email saying OH's Christmas present for his BiL is being delivered by Yodel... 🙄

🥶Phoebe didn't want me to leave the bed morning! ☀️& cold at the moment; for me, lots going on & much to be done, some stressful. Take time to breathe, if you can x

Home from a long &, at times difficult, meeting in a very cold room; the planned late sandwich lunch has been replaced by soup. 😋

Sad day here as one of our hens died last night (no, not the dreaded Bird Flu, for those who understand); OH did the honours & kept one of her feathers. 😢🐔

Off for a hearing aids fitting this morning 🤞, hope they're right this time.

Beautiful sunny morning here, very cold & the blue tits are loving the sunflower seed heads that OH's not removed yet. 😊Watching them helps my low mood.

Visited my friends wonderful mum this afternoon; unfortunately missed a call from the hospital & they didn't leave a message. 🤨

A good friend of mine, who has been ill, seems to have gone from here. Does anyone have news of @DJGaryBaldy by any chance?

Every time I hear a politician say that an issue is “dividing” this country they always then come down on the side of the right wing view of it. Just once I’d love to hear someone say “this issue is divisive, which is why I’m making the argument that kindness and compassion is important”

Labour’s new refugee policy one of the most shameful things I’ve heard from a British politician, and that’s in an environment where Nigel Farage & Robert Jenrick exist. Truly repugnant - if this is enacted it will be a lasting stain.

After a disturbed & disturbing night , perhaps I needed the side of my shower chair to catch the shower control & give me an icy blast! 🥶😂

Day started with a loo seat failing - meant issues in my very dodgy shoulder - & joint bank card failures & OH's dad making demands!
November 15, 2025 at 1:46 PM
Thanks to F*rage & his rotten lot, it seems the UK will no longer be a safe haven for refugees, as UKLabour bow down to them yet again.
