Music was / is fantastic, and light sabres and blasters both had cool sounds for playgrounds. Kids could (and did) play Star Wars, even without toys

Interesting choice to not include the part of the charts that shows % in full-time employment

Zero situational awareness. Any lawman worth his badge would have seen the threat and demanded another chair

In that case I can let it play on YouTube and rip the audio for personal use

YouTube is obv better, because you have good visual content, but sometimes I need to avoid screens

Thanks, and I understand it's work, but really grateful you're doing it on whatever platform

Will this also go on Spotify?

I've listened to half on YouTube, but audio only is way better when doing chores, phone in pocket

52:48 is hardly within the margins of counting error

A Norway/EFTA deal would've been ideal, with the trade-off being no say in the rules the UK had to follow

Point being, the word "trade-off" is entirely legit in the context of any choice, which is how Starmer used it

It's a good first step

It's not about me - I live in the EU - it's about the majority who bothered to vote in 2016 who chose to leave the EU

Obv I think benefits of rejoin outweigh costs, but to suggest there are zero costs (financial & opportunity) is wrong, hence, for example, EFTA nations choosing not to join
December 1, 2025 at 2:06 PM
Sure, but trade-offs simply mean "we give up this to get that", and closer ties / rejoining would mean the UK has to give up "something", albeit to gain far more

It's an accurate descriptive term, not something to take a offence at, since every decision involves a trade-off
December 1, 2025 at 1:54 PM
Most likely he means trade-offs on the UK side - less "sovereignty" and higher payments for a better trading relationship / more influence in EU

"The rulers of today have access to the best psychiatric healthcare the world has ever seen"

They also have access to a broad range of exotic psychedelics that are more _fun_ (at least for a while) than working on their mental health

Reminds me of the wider red-pill loser phenomenon of today

Told they deserve lambos, babes and leisure, incapable of functioning within the quotidian reality of work and relationships

It's striking to me that NF was openly supporting Nazi policies at a time when WW2 was still at the centre of British culture, when many of his teachers would have served
