#RetroGaming pick ups today avec the irrepressible @fuzzweed.co.uk - how much laughter did we pack into 90 minutes? I picked up a boxed Turbocharge #C64 for £5 (mega bargain) and TDC for a bargain £5 (half price!). I have both, but these have instructions. MORE>>>

I have rememberings of The Blues Brothers at this point in time too, but this, for a platformer / arcade adventure on the #C64 - it's pretty decent. Very high production values, it looks good, plays well and sounds good. In fact, I must boot this up when I get back later!

The reason this is included as a #LogLoads64 is that I remember this actual review and I have literally just physically read it in the kitchen with a nice cuip of joe. When (if?) I get the game to load / work, I'll do a YT video... I adore the original Commodore Format, uh, format.

I have never played this and despite my best efforts this morning - still haven't! Anyone know if there is a cart version of this #C64 game anywhere - the disk access is horrific. It *looks* like a nice RPG, if I can actually get it to start. I have more sources to try... Anyone?

You may as well set off the CLASSIC KLAXON, as AB really is a proper decent #C64 game. An uplift in 1999 (AB '99) offers some additional GFX by Jon Wells but the gameplay is the same. I just lost 20 minutes to it like that. Some super catchy Hubbard wraps it all up. Yes.

3 tonnes of fire wood and a bit o' kindling... Best cover it up and set about building a Log Store this weekend! Woop woop! I can't eat for the entirety of Christmas, but at least the wood burner will be constantly burning... 🔥

18 months later, Roger Frames upped that score to 85%. It's a decent puzzler.

Commodore Format gave the game an above average 79% with Kati totally hating on the SID tune. Correct - it is balls. This was the "Ocean Movie Tie-Ins" issue. Halcyon Days...

I love a puzzler, me and Puzznic on the #C64 (apart from a theme tune that is so annoying it is untrue (wait until you get "Hurry Up!"!!!) is a lark. It might be a little more fun 2-Ply, it might be too much. But, it is nicely put together and plays well. Love me a puzzler...

Some movies are shit. Cobra is a crap movie. The #C64 game of the same name is utter pish. It is DREADFUL. Imagine Rolling Thunder and Green Beret but made by a child monkey sitting on a fire. This is so bad, it is appalling. £10 for this? No.

I remember this on the Amiga and the #C64 conversion was pretty good - it "felt" like a polished game. I think the actual gameplay got a bit repetetive fairly quickly, but the lovely graphics and the way it was put together - it is a solid game. Best top down driver for sure.

At the quiz last night multiple people commented on the growth speed & thickness of my beard. I mean - compliments are hard, right? The reason I have this, is that for the last 6 weeks, I have had zero mirrors in the cottage: New Fripville. You cannot shave effectively with no mirror. Change Comes.
