Cornish St/Dixon St
Gate entrance of a disused workshop on a cobbled street. This one is a personal fave of mine. “ George Barnsley & Sons Ltd “ “Cornish Works, No3 Gate” The rest is boarded up and graffitied Cornish Street, Kelham Island, Sheffield A very sad building with an accidental half and half sign, but I liked the 8 ball and the bee from each. Pebbledash wall, green door, rubbish on the ground, ur chosen local fly tipping spot for tyres and a few more of Kelham islands many evo barriers strewn on the ground

Had a nice flask of tea with Gardom’s Edge carved fibreglass replica today

and since learnt that the actual carved stone is resting directly beneath, which is oddly comforting
Gardom’s Edge carved stone - until you tap it and realise this is a fibreglass replica, and a very good one at that. Stone carvings of concentric shapes, rings with cups inside, a swirling pattern and straight lines as well as more lines and cups further down the rock. The original petroglyph was discovered in the 60’s and in 1996 reburied to preserve from weather erosion, with the replica placed on top. My map reading skills were tested on the November terrain, half expected there to be an info board or post here, surely it deserves one. Blitz Beach Hop
Bricks, stone and other building materials of eroded to various sizes by the sea and weather. A larger grey slab checkered tiles stands out Liverpool was heavily bombed during Blitz raids in WWII. When the time came to clean up, they needed a cost cutting solution for the rubble so, off to the coast it went. It now acts as a sea defence for the sand dunes behind. So much to see here I spent hours on the beach more rubble is revealed as the cliff is gradually eroded Forbidden chocolate bar among the smooth rubble on blitz beach Thick tile, pottery and seaweed among the rocks

8. Large collection of graffito, sigils, initials & dates carved between intricate wood panels, (behind the retroquire in Beverley Minster) a historic place of sanctuary where it was common practise to leave your mark as a sort of ‘log book’. 1586 dated in the centre
