One of the things I found out in the past year is that the word origin of the name ‘Poodle’ comes from a similar source to the word ‘Puddle’, the origin is an old German word that meant something along the lines of ‘to splash in water’.

Poodles are *puddle dogs* and I find that adorable.🥹

I once found out by accident last year that a grey Zebra marker I used for a character’s skin-tone in a piece of fanart glowed blue under blacklight. I’d actually been lamenting the lack of a UV reactive blue for my art before then so it was a fun discovery

I made a similar discovery back in 2020 with highlighter markers and a uv bug-zapper! 😁
I can personally confirm that most highlighter markers, some Crayola crayons, and also some Zebra markers glow under blacklight.

there are apparently blacklight colored pencils too, but I don’t have any yet.

Because they grew old, but never actually emotionally matured, instead finding the mental gymnastics to claim that they’re never in the wrong?

To be fair, there was this one shirt I wore occasionally all throughout Highschool that I only realized a couple years after graduation was supposed to be a pajama shirt according to the tag.

What can I say, it was comfy and worked with a surprising number of outfits.

Nightmare fuel for arachnophobes, perhaps. As a non-arachnophobe and massive nerd this is *incredibly cool!*

the moderate ‘meet in the middle compromise’ position functionally *is not a thing anymore* because the Republicans are unilaterally operating in bad faith, and anyone still trying to tout the ‘meet in the middle’ moderate rhetoric is either heavily in denial or actively aiding atrocities.

That actually really depends on the particular city, some have a surprisingly large amount of wildlife and actually keep *some* amount of nature, if admittedly mainly in cases where walking/biking paths and parks are used to justify it.

At this point, anyone who thinks they can find a genuine “middle ground” with republicans is delusionally framing the system in ways that no longer apply.

There’s no genuine neutral moderate position anymore when the right-wing is operating entirely in bad-faith on every front.

We lived in suburbia for part of my childhood and I spent years vaguely confused why all the suburban looking residential neighborhoods on the TV had sidewalks when almost none of them I had ever seen in our area had them, because every reason anyone gave me for it sounded nonsensically insane.

2/2 to be clear I’ve lived in all three at different points, and the one most actively apathetic, isolating, and hostile to me and my family was the suburbs. People will tout ‘good’ schools and ‘good’ neighborhoods based on funding, but funding doesn’t mean shit if it’s being managed by misanthropes

I would live in a city or a decently put together small town, but honestly the suburbs are actually the worst imo because they’re advertised as a middle-ground, but what they actually are, sometimes, is where all the people who hate that other people exist but still want systemic convenience live1/2

Crinoids, perhaps?

Heyo, congrats on the 500 followers!

Call me Twillister, I’ve been drawing various creatures, monsters, and miscellaneous weird and whimsical entities since before I was taught how to write my own name, and started adding blacklight-reactive elements in 2020 after an accidental discovery. #artshare

I hate that this song is going to be associated with this, tbh.

There’s entertaining cheesy whimsical cringe and then there’s… whatever the fuck this shit is.😅

It’s still hilarious but like, still kinda takes the fun out of it a little.
