The worst part was not knowing if anything else had been blown out or damaged when the PSU blew its capacitor, but thankfully it did it's job and I could breath a sigh of relief when everything booted up like nothing had happened after I hooked the replacement up. Sweated bullets for a week.

Maybe check your advanced moderation settings down at the bottom here? I remember seeing folks talk about it being automatically turned on and it moderates things it deems "intolerant" or even just "annoying". What it considers these things is vague at best, so it just hides random posts afaik. 🥴

oof, I feel that pain. I once had a PSU go pop on me, and in the middle of a holiday season, so there was a delay in getting a replacement PSU delivered that I could swap out.

Yeah, it's very definitely not. Setting aside the drama, realistically, all this type of intervention does is encourage secrecy and ruin the ability to actually provide a support network.
