Shinjiro Koizumi writes "Me!" on his ballot, invalidating it and he loses by one vote.

Just based on the lawmakers vote, if Hayashi's voters go to Koizumi he would still have more than if all of Kobayashi and Motegi's voters go Takaichi. So Koizumi was probably happy that the lawmaker vote wasn't as close between him and Takaichi.

Takaichi and Koizumi are going into a runoff round. Takaichi received the most votes in the first round of voting and Koizumi the second highest.
