Some of the alternate color Torunfams from later variation series that I like even more....
Torunfam in grey, red, and a warm white Torunfam in orange, grey, and warm white Torunfam in orange, grey, and white (no sling pannier) Torunfam in shades of green

I think my favorite of the hero designs in Vifam is the Torunfam though. I like the way it combines having the big glass visor like the vifam but with the split giving the effect of two large eyes... Its cockpit pod is a bit less cute but still good

Thinking about the Dizzo from Vifam.... I love bizarre quadruped mode it has. Simple transformation, one of the classics of 'rotate the waist 180 degrees.' Main additional thing is the knees on the default legs to be double jointed.

Only difference is I am a robot (delusional, immature, foolish) as opposed to a robot (actually an automaton)

Anyway I too relate to Key because I am a robot that has a hard time with things.

Probably taking a break for now but. I think I'm really liking Key. With the episodes being 20-ish minutes it's easy to forget it's actually an OVA series until random nudity or blood/gore happens and then it's like 'oh, right, this wasn't televised.'

The continuing throughline of everyone 'humoring' Key's whole 'I'm a robot' thing continues to be fun to me.
Tataki, after a concert gone wrong, and taking Key to dinner: "Did you think about becoming human immediately?" Key: "Key has had a hard time since she was little..." "... just because she is a robot."

You know I've met a lot of weird CEO guys in anime but. Uh. This guy's already making quite an impression in our few meetings with him.
Ajo, sitting at his CEO desk with a tiny cogwork robot of a small boy sitting at a school table Ajo, after tearing open the back of his small desk robot boy to reveal its mechanics and declaring that robots are meant to be slaves to humanity: "Your mission is to disseminate..." Ajo "... as many of my sons as possible..." Ajo, later, in a different room, wearing a metal mask and cradling a robot arm while declaring that all robots are his slaves

Well we've not all quite been there (Key took like an 8 hour shower and seemingly just passed out after a while)
Key reads a note after Sakura is off for work: "PS You should take a shower!" Key having deposited her clothes in the middle of the room gets in the shower Enough time has elapsed that the sun has gone down and she is seemingly still in the shower Key, awakening with a towel on her head after having spent at least 8 hours straight in the shower

I do love the detail that everyone just thinks she is a weirdo when she is seemingly actually a robot.
Tokiko: "It's been a really long time." Tokiko: "Are you still a robot?"

CW: boobs on a poster

On one hand terrified for Mima on the other hand I did get a pretty good laugh at her straightforward reaction to the slimey adult film producers that picked her up (he promised that he could get her 30,000 or 40,000 friends)
A bed with rope A burly cameraman in a bandana Key walking backwards declaring her intent to leave Ditto

just from episode one I can tell this will be one of those shows where I watch it and go 'how the fuck have i not seen this'
lowpolyrobot.bsky.social
It's one of the many movies I got last year to watch but my ability to watch films varies a lot since I'm usually gaming so it's just been sitting untouched for a while
lowpolyrobot.bsky.social
I should probably get a letterboxd at some point just to keep track of watching things. I probably should have done it in 2022 when I really amped up watching a lot more films than I used to lmao

Truly just an enjoyable time. The plot is whatever, but the acting is fun, they make imo pretty good use of the supermarket setting, and the actual cinematography is pretty fun in a lot of parts. The last half of the movie especially just gets ridiculously high energy and I thought it was great
lowpolyrobot.bsky.social
hey he appears for like less than a minute of screentime but I recognize that guy
Bruce Campbell
lowpolyrobot.bsky.social
YEAH like. It's hard to not be like 'Raimi did you give some cinematography tips??' because there are SO many Raimi-esque shots in this that it's hard to believe he didn't at least tell them about what kind of shots would be cool lmao

CW: Blood/Gore

the kills got more ridiculous (complimentary) as the film went on ones and I do love that they can't resist several gags with the bodies afterwards
A slow pan up reveals a pair of legs, maybe intended to be read sneaking up behind jen, are actually the dismembered lower half of one of the victims. Jen never notices these before leaving. As advertised, 1/2 off New, crush proof box (on Bub, after having his head crushed by lift)

this guy is killing me i love him
