Etched and carved wood panel, test printed with crappy speedball ink. Paper 1 is 1st print on ivory 300gsm recycled paper, paper 2 (ghost print) is printed w/out reinking on damp cream 300gsm scrap, I misted it with water prior to printing.
An A5 wooden panel with a skeleton torso in the top corner. It is inked black, the grain visible. Two prints, sude by sude and the inked roller and wooden spoon I used as a baren.

Christmas Tree BY James Merrill, who started writing this in New York City in December, 1994, and finished it in a hospital bed in Tucson, Arizona, shortly before his death of AIDS related complications on February 6, 1995.

Actually, this breed is one of only a couple of breeds that the UK Kennel Club recommends for a family with children, staffies have been bred as nanny dogs for years.

I hope someone adopts Melia, we had our staffie for 9 snuggly years and he was such a loving little dude, they were the happiest years of my life. Staffies bond so strongly with you, it makes training much easier when you have that trust.
Phantom, our black staffie dog, sat on the couch getting his belly rubbed.

#Printmaking Etching wood with caustic soda and wallpaper paste + water mix. I will carve this skeleton section out but I wanted the wood grain texture around and behind her when I print her as a multi block lino/woodcut print.

From Oct 4th to today, with not totally consistent daily practice, my ability to make out sentences in noisy environments with less stress (auditory processing issue) has improved. Thank you Eargym app.

I finished my #perzine on having supervision as a peer mental health facilitator for the first time in 10 years. I used art markers and photocopied linoetched print fragments from my #printmaking fails. I used Shay Mirk @mirkdrop.bsky.social s brilliant making memoir comic zine too.
A perzine unfolded. The cover and penultimate panels are in primary colours and soft secondary pencils. The zine pages are mostly monochrome collages of lino etched printed textures. Cover: Supervision with Sage. What I've learned. 1. A disc of etched texture with banding. Each band has words: whiteness, projection, perfectionism, defensiveness, cobtrol, fear, shame, ego, collapse, fantasy. 2. I was in such a rush away from shame, that I had to try listening, being with shame. 3. I realised I could be vulnerable, imperfect, accountable, open, humble. 4. Space opened up for accountability, accessibility, repair, consent, collaboration, sharing power, choice, creativity, truth 5. I'm co creating spaces that can hold pain, fear, shame, mistrust, grief, loss, anger, despair, with care and respect. 6. From this, the work begins. Images of a cat, forget ne nots, and ear of corn, a candle, a hand gripping a heart, quilted squares, a dandelion. A zoom menu box suggests Admit All. The innards of the zine, a risograph of two hearts, that was a tetrapak etching. I etched the tetrapak during a social meeting on our peer group, feeling full of warmth and connection. The hearts have holes stamped from them and they blur and overlap. My pertinent next to Shay's black and white zine titled Making Memoir Comics ten exercises to get you started.' It has two large pencils as a frank and a little doodle of Shay.
