That's what happened here in California. Newsom made a very public and very explicit threat to every university that he would cut state funding of any school that collaborated with Trump.

I don't remember any thoughts, just the despair after seeing that Trump was the first Republican in 20 years to win the popular vote.

I wonder: are there any provinces looking to become independent?
Though I'm not going to put my hopes up too much. The only former Soviet province that I know of that is relatively liberal is Ukraine and only very recently.

It's just funny to me that after voters were warned over and over again (though the media did an excellent job burying those warnings because they were all busy pushing RFK Jr's mistress's story about Biden Old), the buyer's remorse set in fast and hard.

Something I'll never forget was when people started to call out the media on the sudden shift in tone, they responded with "Of course we are hostile, that's our job."
