A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

There is a "fix" for that, but it's the long struggle of building an actually democratic society in which learning is valued more than knowledge and knowledge is more valued than certification. Any number of experimental colleges & programs work toward this.
The invention of a perfect cheating machine just exposes a more fundamental problem, which is that most students go to college to get a degree, and any actual learning is incidental to that. There’s no real fix for that other than a devaluation of degrees in the job market, which is coming.

The most interesting part of this story isn’t that the pipe bomber is MAGA. That was blatantly obvious. What should interest folks is that the FBI and DoJ hid that fact from you, and still haven’t made a statement. This info is coming from sources on the condition of anonymity.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

What's changed is that the Court has become more transparent in its corruption. There's not even an argument here beyond the implicit one which is: how do you expect us to hold the House without those seats?
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

Somebody famous recently said something to the effect of the true sign of wealth is whether you have enough. A person who's happy with $100K/year is essentially wealthier than the billionaire who still doesn't have enough.
I want to hear about some tech dudes who said one billion is plenty enough and dropped out to enjoy it instead of going grindset on making the world measurably worse for everyone but fellow billionaires.

Wow, Adm. Holsey didn't leave of his own accord, Hegseth pushed him out. What looked like the SOCOM head resigning rather than do war crimes now looks like SecDef canning him to facilitate war crimes.

Congress should have him testify, and would've already if war-crime-sympathetic GOP didn't run it.

1) Anonymous sources, so caveat lector.

2) What he says now to avoid confessing a crime is hardly as meaningful as documentation/recordings of the decision.

3) What's described here is *still* a crime! You can't just execute people because you claim they're "attempting to continue their drug run."

Hakeem Jeffries will never lead the Dems where they need to go in order to help the people.

He will choose restoration over reform because he has been groomed by the Establishment.

Fuck this. Fuck. This.

I know people spend so much time talking about Jeffries and this bullshit but this man deserves to be primaried, removed from power, and chased out of Washington, D.C.

People like this continuing to hold power will only deliver a fascistic failure of a future.
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."
