Officer Kevin Roundy is this month’s winner. While working in a Searchlight courtroom, he helped a woman he’d previously arrested who was stranded with minor charges. He worked with partners to get her home and later fulfilled his promise of a $500 jewelry-bead gift card.

10 officers graduated from the LVMPD Traffic Bureau’s Motor School today!

Four LVMPD, four NLVPD, one Boulder City PD, and one Lake Havasu City PD officer were recognized for their hard work, dedication, and completion of a weeks-long training program.

Today, we honored LVMPD Officer Truong Thai, who died in the line of duty on 10/13/22. His locker door was displayed at South Central Area Command for loved ones to leave messages. Sheriff McMahill, staff, department members, and his family paid their respects.

He will always be remembered 💙

Fifteen years ago, an eight-year-old girl had an encounter with two LVMPD officers who changed her life forever. That little girl was Gisel Pena Morga, and on November 4, 2025, she became a newly sworn officer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
