I know exacly what you mean. I look at games or media in general just as that and take it for granted to think that way, because I've done it since I was little. So I often get frustrated when people I discuss with don't get the point I'm making because it's so obvious for me.

I love amiibos. I remember as a Kiddo looking at the trophies of Smash Bros. Melee all cluttered on a living room table, thinking "I want this, too!" This inner child was crying out of joy when the amiibos were announced. Now I have (almost) all of them on my shelves and they make me happy.

It's so weird to me how all the people refer to it as Pokémon meets Animal Crossing.
It's not similar to Animal Crossing and is so much more a Dragon Quest Builders to the point that Square Enix could file a copyright infringement violation against the Pokémon Company for stealing all the mechanics.
