I’ve had an excellent 3 days birding within 10km of home, most certainly topped off by finding this Lesser Yellowlegs this morning on the Wootton Grange Flood Lagoon #KingsLynn
Other highlights were a Little Stint, 2 Spotted Redshank and 7 Spoonbills at Lynn Point

The Hardwick Flood Lagoon near #KingsLynn is ticking along nicely this month with 9 species of wader so far including LRP’s, Greenshank, up to 4 Ruff and up to 6 Green Sands. It was also very nice this morning to see my first Yellow Wagtail of the year #NorfolkBirding

Spectacled Eider off IJzeren Zeekaap #Texel today - when you’re so late to the party you’re on your own and after searching through hundreds of Eider off Wagejot I came across it loosely associating with 2 or 3 near the monument #brileider

Corn Buntings have been showing better at Lynn Point over the past few days - yesterday I counted 31 but others have estimated 40 to 50 birds - also Short-eared Owl

It’s taken me a couple of weeks to catch up with any Corn Buntings at Lynn Point - first seen on the 3rd Feb by @garyelts.bsky.social - but this morning I managed to connect with about 20! They weren’t easy as they were out on the marsh - luckily they had a mad 10 minute fly around

The 5 Shorelarks at Old Hunstanton appeared surprisingly relaxed this afternoon going about their business on the shingle ridge - even with the heavy human and dog traffic

The 2CY Glaucous Gull at Old Hunstanton is an absolute brute and showed well early this afternoon - having a wash after gorging itself on the dead seal

I cannot match @markgolley.bsky.social with 8 but I’ve been fortunate to see 4 fantastic Ross’s Gulls in the UK - Filey 1983, Scrabster, Cley 1984, and near Exeter in 2014. However in June 2022 I was lucky to see this first summer bird in Vardø Harbour, Norway. It definitely gave the best views 👍

I sent this to my wife yesterday and she thought “why is he sending me a picture of lumps of mud in a field?”and then she realised they were moving - 5 Grey Partridges about a mile from home near Setchey - I watched from afar and left them to feed in peace on a frosty morning #NorfolkBirding
