I am making an animated series and uploaded the soundtrack to CreateSpace 9 years ago. I think Amazon is still selling the CDs even though I never migrated to Kindle Music.

So, update: apparently not. Modern ore-recorded tapes are type I ferric-oxide and are produced largely for novelty, not fidelity. Most of the classic analog mastering equipment is long-gone as well. Ah well.

I would imagine that it does, considering those players had a floor price of $10,000+ and the Iron-ferrite coating Sony invented toward the end of the original run of cassettes significantly cancelled a lot of noise. My guess is companies continuing to manufacture innovated more along the way.

“Back when the music was pure.”
“You mean like the 70’s?”
“No, before that: the EARLY 70s.”

The appeal is the warmer sound of analog. People forget that there was a big boom in high end audio equipment returning to analog in the 2010s because there is less loss of sound over digital. There is significant loss of audio layering in digital mastering. Tapes wear out, but the sound is classic.

Dua* stupid autocorrect. I am not typing all that again on my phone lol

I mean, this is all cool nostalgic discussion and all that, but I meant literally: Taylor Swift, Dyan Lipa and others are issuing brand new albums in 2025 on tape. The resurgence started at the beginning of this AI explosion in 2022, and tapes sales have been up 25% year-over-year since.

Apparently tapes are making a comeback?

I listen to video game covers by humans I can contact on YouTube. Everyone uses A.I. on their platforms these days, but I conspicuously avoid enabling those parts of the algorithm by manually pruning my playlists.

When the ballroom never gets built and they have to rebuild the East Wing, then it’ll be taxpayer dollars.

People keep saying “because it serves their purposes” as to why they’re silent… and I’m like…. REALLY? Even with all that insider trading they’re STILL not in a weight category Trump is all for. So I’m like “WHO?!” That’s who so many aren’t even waiting to lose the Midterms and bailing.

The big difference being that not only could Congressional Republicans find their conscience back then, they weren’t afraid to tell Nixon he was getting oustered and probably sent to prison for what he did. Donald Trump has no such specter looming over him here.

He carried Freddie Prinze, Jr. in every film they were in together, including SOMEHOW making Todd “Maniac” Marshall endearing AND likable in that horrid dog, Wing Commander (based on one of my all-time favorite PC game series).

I DID NOT STUTTER!

According to papers found on Jefferson Davis upon his arrest, the plan was to control the Western Hemisphere from the Arctic Circle to Tierra Del Fuego. Trump plans to do the same.

It’s not WORKING due to gross incompetence, but that is his plan.

So much of art we consider to be “essential cinema” have so many deranged elements behind them. Franco Zeffirelli’s “Romeo and Juliet”, “Last Tango in Paris”, “The Graduate”, “Marathon Man”, etc. They shaped our society because they also reflected our society. I understand why some have a hard time.

Why stop there? He’s got a list…
December 7, 2025 at 3:19 AM
Looks like he’s having a hard time lifting all that bullshit

Well, look on the bright side: we are that much closer to IRL Tank Girl, which means their billions will only buy them a tank of gas in the near future.

I suspect this is an attempt to help Kalshi better monetize outrage.

And that will be a mess no matter how you slice it.

Imagine if Trump had simply pardoned Epstein and then sealed the files because they were no longer “of use” since all Federal crimes would’ve been dismissed.

My fear is that the *solution* now is going to be extrajudicial because the crimes are so far outside the imagination of the Constitution.
