Not even that. Weeps.

Happy birthday, my friend! I hope the year ahead will be full of beautiful things.

I agree! I can’t even remember how I lived and traveled pre-mobile device.
I slept walked while in a hotel one night and locked myself out of my room. It was a very panicky feeling when I awoke and realized what happened! The scariest part was that I had no ID or money on my person.

In my family, it was my mom who was the oral historian. She was born in 1918 so it was fascinating to hear about the events she lived through. I always miss her perspective. I’m glad she didn’t live through this ascendancy of the John Birchers, she thought they had been successfully beat back.

Not to mention the human separation from family, friends, and anything familiar. Oh, and the lack of money.

This is simply an unconscionable thing to do to people. It’s human trafficking.

Lovely. I do that with tree ornaments too. Makes it so much fun to unwrap them. I do have a few that are gifts mixed in.

That’s simply beautiful. It reminds me of the GM Hopkins poem about “ glory be to God for dappled things “
Very interesting article too

It definitely should. I’m not sure who if anyone monitors that but there shouldn’t be any impediment.

This is really interesting art, interesting themes to explore. Also, I am in awe of her creative skills of the age of 79.

I think it’s got a rather big surprise factor as a gift.

I think so. You cut off that day’s hunk. I like salami, but I rarely eat it so it would be a decadent treat. I was more thinking it would’ve been a fun gift for others. My family already thinks there’s something wrong with me. They’d be talking about a gift like this for years.
