today is the anniversary of action comics #644. this issue happened during matrix’s psychotic episode & deals with the shock and trauma she experienced during her origin arc. her idolisation of clark continues throughout it, but she grows from emulating his violence to mimicking his healing journey

i’ve always thought she could come back similar to her original origin (some sort of clone of kara or lana) or as just a clayface/mirage esque shapeshifter. jerry ordway had a fun idea for a non-supergirl matrix as well comicboxcommentary.blogspot.com/2024/01/matr...! she’s very frankenstein’s +
