This is way more elaborate than I was expecting.

My sister likes to say “it’s only a deal if you were already planning on buying it,” and I think that’s a good motto to remember.

Several years ago, I waited until post-Thanksgiving sales to get a TV, expecting a good deal. But I did my research and found that every TV that was on sale was an outdated/outgoing model. Most of them lacked things I wanted (like game mode) and featured mediocre picture quality.
Do your homework.

Do no pet geese. You will lose an arm. (Maybe. Probably.)

I can't honestly say Z-A is a bad game, but while I know I'm not done with it, I can only say thus far that it is "decent" at best.
I couldn't stop playing Legends Arceus when I got it, but Z-A feels monotonous, and I'm not even halfway done with it.
I'll reserve final judgement to when I finish it.

Directly because of your posts, I watched Dominic Noble's review of Wicked. I usually only watch his stuff if it's something I'm interested in.
He said the book isn't well written, the play tries to fix the issues, and the movie glosses over the problems and ends up bland and directionless.

You don't have to keep teaching to stay in Japan?

*heavy sigh*
This reminds me of a guy that did game demos at a convention and when he handed the controller to young kids, they couldn't get the hang of it because they're so used to touchscreens.

I get it because sometimes I'm there, too. But every once in a while, it's worth getting out of bed. Trust your instincts and desires.

One of my friends in Philly quit teaching. He was also tired of it.
